Conference Round Up

There are so many good church conferences in this neck of the solar system. We are very blessed. Below is a list of the ones I will be a part of in some way. You may want to check these out. I know there are many other good conferences out there too. And taking a prayer day by yourself could be better than anything on anyone’s list.

Momentum 2010
When: February 27
Where: Hudsonville, Michigan (Fairhaven Ministries)
What: This is for pastors, leaders, and volunteers. It is hosted by various bodies from the Reformed Church in America. Ed Stetzer is the keynote speaker. I am one of a gazillion breakout speakers.
Cost: $25
Theme: Gain Traction in Your Church

Magnify Conference
When: March 19-20
Where: East Lansing, Michigan (University Reformed Church)
What: This annual conference is hosted by my church in partnership with several other local congregations. Ben Patterson is the keynote speaker. He will talk to us about prayer and lead us in prayer. There is no one I respect more when it comes to prayer than Ben Patterson.
Cost: $10, or free it you can’t afford ten bucks
Theme: Deepening Your Conversation With God

Together for the Gospel
When: April 13-15
Where: Louisville, Kentucky
What: The best lineup of Reformed speakers you’ll find in one place: Mark Dever, Ligon Duncan, Albert Mohler, C.J. Mahaney, John Piper, Thabiti Anyabwile, John MacArthur, and R.C. Sproul. Plus, this year there are eight breakout sessions to choose from. I’ll be doing one on impassibility. I hear that registrations for the conference have been brisk and that the book giveaway is unbelievable.
Cost: $249 ($99 student)
Theme: The (Unadjusted) Gospel

Truth Exchange Conference
When: June 17-18
Where: San Diego, California
What: Peter Jones, Mark Driscoll, and Francis Chan headline the speaker lineup. I’m doing a main session on the church.
Cost: $75-125
Theme: Identifying the Truth and the Lie in Life

One other conference for RCA pastors and members only: RCA Integrity is hosting a get together in Chicago on May 17-18. Mark Dever will be our speaker. Please reserve the date. We’ll have a website up for registration soon.
