To You My Life Belongs

We're eagerly anticipating the Coram Deo Pastors Conference in just a few weeks. A handful of our musicians traveled to Nashville to write and record new music for our time together. The newest song, "To You My Life Belongs," was written purposefully with pastoral ministry in mind. Whether you'll be with us or have joined us in praying for the conference, we hope it encourages you toward a life of faithful ministry before the face of God.
Lyrics
Verse 1
When burdens of my weary soul are more than I can bear,
Before my fleeting hope erodes, my Savior Christ is there.
I look to him with all my cares, the One who calms my fears
In all my dangers, toils and snares, my gracious Lord appears
Refrain
Deliverer, and Rescuer, the Ransom for my wrongs,
Beloved lover of my soul, to you my life belongs.
Verse 2
When Satan's lies accuse my heart of faithlessness and doubt
Defend me from his flaming darts, and drive temptation out
My fortress in my faltering; my shelter in the storm—
Beneath the shadow of your wings, I rest forevermore.
Verse 3
When wandering in foolishness, in selfish sin and pride—
When surging waves of guilt oppress, in you, O Lord, I hide.
When all around my soul gives way, my only rock is Christ:
My anchor in that final day, the keeper of my life!
Final Refrain
Deliverer, and Rescuer, the Ransom for my wrongs,
Beloved lover of my soul, to you my life belongs.
Deliverer, and Rescuer, the Ransom for my wrongs,
Beloved lover of my soul, to you my life belongs.
O David’s Son, you are my King, a refuge safe and strong;
My rock and shield, Redeemer, God—to you my life belongs!
