John Witherspoon in Historical Context

Like so many in the founding generation, he had various avenues and amazingly accomplished a great deal in many different aspects of his life. So, we are right to remember him as an important Christian pastor. It’s hard to exaggerate Witherspoon’s influence, though he is forgotten as one of our most quintessential founders. He was well respected, sought after for advice by the likes of Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Hamilton.
