John Wycliffe, Jan Hus, and the Seeds of Protest

November 17, 2023

As Christians, we have a 2,000-year history filled with stories to tell and lessons to learn. After looking at the early church last fall, we now turn our attention to the history of Christendom during the Medieval period. By focusing on one person each week, we will explore the broader themes, ideas, and movements from the Middle Ages up to the cusp of the Reformation. We will cover topics like St. Patrick and the barbarian conversion, Charlemagne and the beginning of Europe, and Richard the Lionheart and the Crusades, as well as key figures like Aquinas, Wycliffe, and Hus. There is no need to have attended last year's church history class in order to attend this one.
